Amma and me

Performed Pournami pooja

Very peaceful

I wanted to write about that and Amma

So I read Matruvani May 2009 issue

I felt like taking prasadam

As moon had not come out of the next building I could not see the moon in the concrete jungle

I take food after seeing moon on pournami

So I was waiting and reading and peeping out of window if moon was visible

Yesterday night also I did not take anything, as I was engrossed in reading Kusum Ansal’s My Lover’s Name and other stories; Kusum writes wonderfully; her widow of vrindavan is a real masterpiece by the way

So felt hungry now

The article was about a French couple that initially rejected amma and later accepted

They happened to be in London

had limited money

and were rejected by a promising friend

They heard amma was there

Visited the venue

They were feeling hungry…(this sequence struck me as I also started feeling hungry)

They had the hug

They wanted to purchase samosa

But

The money was sufficient to go back to hotel. They have already reserved tickets back home

After darshan hunger increased

She asked her husband to check his pant pockets

Normally he was not of the habit of keeping money in pockets

He could find the toffee given by amma

Lo!

Along with that he could find 5 pound currency, which is the price of 2 samosas they wanted to purchase

In the normal circumstances 2 samosas are nothing

But when you don’t have money and embarrassed getting this help would look tremendous
